The 5 Most Romantic Valentines Day Foods

The best part about Valentine’s Day is not the cheesy stuffed animals, heart-shaped boxes of chocolates, or bouquets of red roses. No, the best part is the food, and sharing something delicious with the person you love. In honor of the holiday, here are 5 of the most romantic foods to split with your honey today.
1. Fondue
We can’t really think of anything that’s better than melted cheese, and a rich and cheesy fondue is no different. Get your skewers out and start dipping hunks of bread and fruit like apples or grapes. Tyler Florence has an extra gooey recipe.
2. Chocolate
Instead of that box of truffles from the corner drug store, share a decadent chocolate dessert like Flourless Chocolate Cake. We like this recipe from Epicurious. Don’t forget to add some whipped cream on top.
3. Chicken Curry
Valentine’s Day calls for something spicy, and we think a warm pot of Chicken Curry adds a romantic touch to a meal. Serve with pita for a little dipping. Food & Wine has a flavorful recipe that is affordable too.
4. Waffles
You might not think of waffles as a romantic treat, but when it’s breakfast in bed, that changes things. We’re into these Chocolate Waffles from Food.com. Drizzle with strawberry sauce, top with sliced strawberries, and voila! A romantic way to start the day.
5. Roasted Chicken
The way to any man or woman’s heart… Roasted chicken. It’s the ultimate comfort food, especially on a chilly night. Create a candlelit chicken dinner for two with Ina Garten’s “Perfect Roast Chicken.”
